The Bistum Masvingo ( lat. : Dioecesis Masvingensis ) is in Zimbabwe preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Masvingo .

history

The Diocese of Masvingo was established on February 9, 1999 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Gweru and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bulawayo as a suffragan . The first bishop was Michael Dixon Bhasera .
