The Diocese Ourinhos ( Latin Dioecesis Parvauratana , Portuguese Diocese de Ourinhos ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Ourinhos in the State of São Paulo .

history

The diocese of Ourinhos was established on December 30, 1998 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum from ceded territory of the Archdiocese of Botucatu and the dioceses of Assis and Itapeva . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Botucatu as a suffragan . First Bishop was Salvatore Paruzzo .
