The Bistum Sylhet ( lat. : Dioecesis Sylhetensis ) is an in Bangladesh preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Sylhet . It includes the Sylhet division in northeast Bangladesh.
history
Pope Benedict XVI founded it on July 8, 2011 from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Dhaka , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese. Since the foundation, the local ordinary Bejoy Nicephorus D'Cruze has been OMI .
