Catedral de El Calvario

The diocese Tenancingo was on November 26th, 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Christi Regis from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Toluca and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mexico City as a suffragan . The first bishop was Raúl Gómez González .
