The Roman Catholic Diocese of Vellore ( lat. : Dioecesis Vellorensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Vellore . It covers the area of the Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts in the state of Tamil Nadu .
history
The diocese Vellore was on November 13, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. built from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Madras and subordinated to this as a suffragan .
