The Bistum Yola ( lat. : Dioecesis Yolaensis ) is in Nigeria preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Yola .

history

The diocese of Yola was founded on July 14, 1950 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad evangelizationis from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Buéa and the Apostolic Prefectures Jos and Oturkpo as the Apostolic Prefecture of Yola . The Apostolic Prefecture Yola was on 2 July 1962 Pope John XXIII. with the Apostolic Constitution Christianae Reipublicae regendae raised to the diocese. On 3 February 1995, the diocese of Yola were parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Quo efficacius erected Diocese of Jalingo from.

The diocese of Yola is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Jos as a suffragan .
