The diocese Zhengzhou ( lat. : Dioecesis Cemceuvensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Zhengzhou .

history

The diocese of Zhengzhou was established on May 15, 1906 by Pope Pius X from cession of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Henan as Apostolic Prefecture West Henan . The West Henan Apostolic Prefecture was elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate on May 2, 1911 by Pius X. The Apostolic Vicariate of West Henan was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengzhou on December 3, 1924 . On May 25, 1929, the Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengzhou gave parts of its territory to establish the Apostolic Prefecture of Luoyang .

The Apostolic Vicariate Zhengzhou was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Kaifeng as a suffragan .
