Bo van Wetering (born October 5, 1999 in Heerhugowaard ) is a Dutch handball player .

Career

Bo van Wetering started playing handball in her hometown at the HV Tornado. After the outside player then ran for VZV, she joined Westfriesland SEW . On February 28, 2015, at the age of 15, she made her debut in the Eredivisie for Westfriesland SEW. In 2016 she moved to league competitor VOC Amsterdam . With VOC she won the Dutch championship in 2017. Bo van Wetering moved to the German Bundesliga club TuS Metzingen for the 2019/20 season .

Bo van Wetering initially played for the Dutch youth and junior national team. With these teams she took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2015 , in the U-19 European Championship in 2017 and in the U-20 World Championship in 2018 . She was elected to the All-Star team at the 2017 U-19 European Championship . She is now a member of the Dutch national team . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the World Cup title in the final against the Spanish selection.
