Edina Rott (born July 27, 1971 in Pécs , Hungary ) is a Hungarian handball trainer and former handball player .

Edina Rott began playing handball in her hometown at MSC Pécs when she was young and moved to the first division club Vasas Budapest in 1991 . Three years later she went to local rival Spartacus Budapest . She changed three times between the two clubs. In 1999 she went to the then regional league team VfL Sindelfingen . After two years she moved to HSG Bensheim / Auerbach (then TSV Rot-Weiß Auerbach ) in the 2nd handball league . The right-hander usually plays on the left in the attack . She made 30 international appearances for the Hungarian national team .

Since her contract with HSG Bensheim / Auerbach was not extended in 2009, she was the player-coach of the second division TuS Metzingen since the 2009/10 season . With the team she became champions of the 2nd division in the 2011/12 season and thus rose to the 1st division . After she ended her career as a player at the end of the 2011/12 season, she resigned from her coaching position for the TuSsies Bundesliga team a year later .

From 2013 Rott is training to be a sports and health trainer at TuS Metzingen and she was the coach of the second team at TuS Metzingen in the regional league. In April 2017 she took over the coaching of the Bundesliga team at TuS Metzingen on an interim basis until the end of the 2016/17 season. Then she worked as assistant trainer for Metzingen. In April 2018, Rott took over the coaching position again after René Hamann-Boeriths was fired . In the 2018/19 season, Rott held the position of assistant coach at Metzingen again and has been the coach of the women's team again since July 2019.

Her daughter Rebecca Rott also plays handball.
