Madita Kohorst (born October 14, 1996 in Lohne (Oldenburg) ) is a German handball goal woman .

Career

Kohorst learned to play handball in her home club, TV Dinklage. In 2013, in the A-youth, she moved to the Bundesliga club VfL Oldenburg , for which she initially only played in the A-youth, while she continued to play in the women's team of TV Dinklage in the Oberliga Nordsee. In the following season she was part of the squad of the second women's team of VfL Oldenburg, which competed in the third division.

Her Bundesliga debut followed on January 19, 2016 against HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten . From the 2016/17 Bundesliga season she was a permanent member of the Bundesliga team at VfL Oldenburg. With Oldenburg, she won the DHB Cup in 2018 . For the 2018/19 season, she moved to league competitor TuS Metzingen .

Kohorst played a total of 30 games for the German national junior team. She took part in the 2015 European Championships in Valencia and the 2016 World Championships in Moscow . These tournaments ended the German selection in fifth and fourth place. As in the 2016 European Championships, she was also part of the expanded squad of the German women's handball national team at the 2017 World Cup , but without actively participating in a tournament.
