The skeleton mixed competition at the 2020 Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships was held on March 1st. Like all competitions at the World Championships, it was held on the ENSO ice track in Altenberg . It was the first time this form of competition was held at the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships .
The German team consisting of Jacqueline Lölling and Alexander Gassner secured the first world championship title in this form of competition. Just 0.01 seconds behind the German team, Canadians Jane Channell and David Greszczyszyn took second place. Third place surprisingly went to the Italian team consisting of Valentina Margaglio and Mattia Gaspari . This bronze medal was a historic medal for Italian skeleton because for the first time in skeleton history Italy won a World Championship medal in skeleton.

The previous team competition, which since the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships 2007 the program of the World Championships was one, was by the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships in 2019 removed from the program and mixed-competition skeleton is replaced by the.
