Bobby Brown (born June 5, 1991 in Denver ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the freestyle disciplines Slopestyle and Big Air .

Career

Brown has been participating in AFP World Tour competitions since 2008 . He won his first Slopestyle win at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge in December 2008 . At the beginning of the 2009/10 season he won the slopestyle at the New Zealand Freeski Open in Cardrona and won bronze in the slopestyle and gold in the big air at the New Zealand Winter Games in Queenstown . In the further course of the season he won in the slopestyle and in the big air the Winter Dew Tour on Mount Snow and took second place in the London Freeze Big Air competition. At the Winter X Games 2010 in Aspen he won the gold medal in Big Air and Slopestyle and the silver medal in Slopestyle at the Winter X Games Europe 2010 in Tignes . He finished the season in first place in the AFP World Tour Slopestyle Ranking. At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he came in second place in slopestyle at the New Zealand Freeski Open in Cardrona . At the subsequent Junior World Championships in Cardrona , he won gold in slopestyle. This was followed by a victory in the Slopestyle season at the Winter Dew Tour in Killington and a second place in Breckenridge . At the Winter X Games 2011 in Aspen , he won the silver medal in Big Air. At the end of the season, he won the AFP World Tour Final in Whistler in Slopestyle and Big Air and thus reached the AFP World Tour Big Air and AFP World Tour overall ranking third. As in the previous year, he took first place in the AFP World Tour Slopestyle ranking.

The following season Brown came second in the King of Style Big Air competition in Stockholm and in slopestyle on the Winter Dew Tour in Killington and third in Snowbasin . He made his debut in the World Cup in March 2012 in Mammoth , which he finished in ninth place in slopestyle. At the Winter X Games 2012 in Aspen he won gold in Big Air and at the Winter X Games Europe 2012 in Tignes gold in slopestyle. He finished the season in third place in the AFP World Tour overall standings. In the 2013/14 season he won the US Grand Prix and World Cup Breckenridge in slopestyle . Also that season he took second and third place in slopestyle at the US Grand Prix in Park City and third place in slopestyle at the Dumont Cup in Newry . When he first participated in the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 , he finished ninth in the first-ever slopestyle competition. At the end of the season he took second place in the AFP World Tour finals in Whistler in slopestyle and big air and came second in the AFP World Tour slopestyle ranking. In the Slopestyle World Cup he reached third place. In the 2014/15 season he won slopestyle at the Dumont Cup in Newry and the AFP World Tour Final in Whistler and came second in Big Air at the Jon Olsson Invitational in Åre . At the Winter X Games 2015 in Aspen , he won the silver medal in Big Air. At the end of the season, he came third in the AFP World Tour Big Air classification and second in the AFP World Tour Slopestyle classification. As in the previous year, he won the silver medal in Big Air at the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen . In the following year, he was seventh in Slopestyle and fourth in Big Air at the Winter X Games 2017 and finished in Norway at the X Games 2017 in Hafjell 11th place in slopestyle and fourth place in big air.
