Bodelschwinghstrasse (Radebeul)

The Bodelschwinghstraße is a city road the Saxon town of Radebeul , situated in the district Niederlößnitz . The narrow villa street is located directly at the foot of the steep slope of the Lusatian Fault , below the Friedensburg . The street belongs to the historical vineyard landscape of Radebeul and is located in the Saxon vineyard location Lößnitz within the single location Radebeuler Steinrücke .

Development

Some cultural monuments are lined up along Bodelschwinghstraße and are therefore included in the list of cultural monuments in Radebeul-Niederlößnitz (A – L) :

At the beginning of Bodelschwinghstraße, on the south side of the confluence with Burgstraße , is the property of the former Bad-Hotel (Burgstraße 2, Obere Bergstraße 62), which is listed in Gurlitt's 1904 monument inventory with sandstone figures from the first half of the 18th century is.

Naming

Since 1893 the street was called Mathildenstraße . In 1932 or 1945 it was given its current name in honor of Friedrich von Bodelschwingh the Elder .
