Bodil Aakre

Bodil Aakre (born September 7, 1922 in Kristiania , † November 8, 2008 in Benidorm ) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician ( Høyre ). From 1969 to 1973 she was a member of parliament in Storting . She also worked at Brønnøysundregistrene .

life and career

Aakre was born in Kristiania (now Oslo) in 1922 . She started her studies in 1942 and obtained the cand.jur in 1948 . She then worked as a lawyer in Hammerfest and Alta from 1948 to 1957. In 1957 she became an advisor at the Agricultural Society of Nordlands.

After she served as Vararepresentantin from 1965 to 1969, i.e. as a deputy representative, in Storting , she was elected in 1969 as a direct representative for the constituency of Nordland . Between 1965 and 1969 she served provisionally as a regular MP after Håkon Kyllingmark became Minister in the Borten government . After the death of her party colleague Harald Warholm in February 1967, she became a permanent member of parliament. Bodil Aakre lost her seat in the 1973 general election and was again deputy MP.

At the local level, Aakre was Mayor of Brønnøy from 1975 to 1979. She also worked as a Sorenskriver in Brønnøysund from 1973 to 1988. In 1980 she became Head of Department at Brønnøysundregistrene . She was given the nickname of the "mother of Brønnøysundregistrene".

Aakre was from 1967 to 1971 board member of the Aetat , a predecessor authority of the NAV , and of the Nordlandsbanken from 1977 to 1982. She was also the deputy chairman of the Aetat from 1975 to 1983, the Arbeidstilsynet from 1972 to 1988 and from 1982 of the Nordlandsbanken. She also worked for the Norden association and the Riksmålsforbundet .

Aakre retired in 1988. She died in 2008 in the Spanish city of Benidorm , where she had lived since 1991.
