Bogdan Ionuț Țîru , also Bogdan Ionuț Țâru , (pronunciation: [bogˈdan joˈnut͡s ˈt͡sɨru]; born March 15, 1994 in Constanța ) is a Romanian football player . He has been under contract with Jagiellonia Białystok since 2020 .

Career

Țîru joined Gheorghe Hagi's football school in 2009 , which was affiliated with FC Viitorul Constanța . As a result, he came to his first appearance in League II on May 28, 2011 . In 2012 he moved permanently to the Viitorul squad, which had just been promoted to League 1 . There he came to his only game on the last day of the 2012/13 season . He was then loaned to FC Voluntari in Liga III for half a year . After his return he was used more often and played ten times in the second half of the 2013/14 season - four of them from the start. In the 2014/15 season , Țîru became a regular and acted as team captain in the second half of the season . He missed the start of the 2015/16 season due to an injury and only made three short appearances in autumn 2015. He was loaned out for six months at the beginning of 2016 - again to FC Voluntari, which now also played in League 1. In Voluntari he returned to his old strength and secured himself with the club in the relegation class. In the 2016/17 season he was again a regular in the central defense of Viitorul. At the end of the season he won his first title with the championship.

National team

In November 2016 national coach Christoph Daum appointed Țîru for the first time to the circle of the Romanian national team . On November 15, 2016, he came in the friendly against Russia to his first international match when he was substituted on for Dragoș Grigore in added time.
