Bohnberg is a wasteland in the Upper Franconian town of Lichtenfels in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

The wasteland is about eight kilometers east of Lichtenfels in a valley basin. To the west of the village, the state road LIF 4 passes, to the east the 380 kV Redwitz - Würgau line , a high-voltage three-phase overhead line with four circuits.

history

The place name probably goes back to the personal name "Babo".

It was first mentioned in 1308 when Konrad von Schlüsselberg gave the monastery Langheim Reutäcker on a mountain "called Babenberg". In 1347 income from the monastery "vom Bomberg" was mentioned and in 1434 the tithe from the field, which was called "the Bamberg". Around 1530, an undeveloped courtyard of the Langheim monastery was called "Bonbergk". The receipt provides an indication of temporary desolation . 1797 "Bonn mountain" as a the Klosterlangheim with bailiwick - and feudal domination described associated Gülthof.

In 1862, Bohnberg, which had belonged to the rural community of Roth since 1818 , was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels .

In 1871 Bohnberg had ten residents and four buildings. The responsible Catholic church and school was in Isling, three kilometers away . In 1900 the wasteland had one residential building and five residents. In 1925 six people lived in the apartment building. The responsible evangelical parish and school were in Lichtenfels, 8.5 kilometers away. In 1950 there were ten residents and one residential building.

In 1970 Bohnberg had six residents and in 1987 eight.

On January 1, 1978, Roth was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels with the wasteland of Bohnberg.
