Bonarda Piemontese is a red wine from Italy . It is in the region of Piedmont cultivated and there in DOC - blends with Nebbiolo and varietal used as table wine.
The DOC wines Colli Piacentini , Colli di Parma ( Emilia-Romagna ) and Oltrepò Pavese ( Lombardy ) contain Bonarda.
Large stocks are also known in Argentina , even if not yet unequivocally recognized by all ampelographers . Bonarda Piemontese is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ). It has hermaphroditic flowers and is therefore self-fruiting. In viticulture , the economic disadvantage of not having to grow male plants that produce yield is avoided.
