Bonnie Arnold (* 1955 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American film producer who worked for The Walt Disney Company and Pixar , among others . She is currently the Co-President of Feature Animation at DreamWorks .

Life

Bonnie Arnold grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and a master's degree from Boston University . As a journalist, she then came to the American Playhouse film King of America . Her first Hollywood production was The Professional's Wife , for which she worked as a production coordinator.

She then worked on film productions in Atlanta and worked for Columbia Pictures . She met Kevin Costner on the set of a Tony Scott film . As an executive producer , she worked for him on The Dance with the Wolf .

In 1992 she was hired to produce Toy Story . Since then she has worked for various animation studios, including for The Walt Disney Company at Tarzan and for DreamWorks for Ab durch die Hecke (2006) and most recently for the How To Train Your Dragon series. In early 2015 she was named "Co-President of Feature Animation" for DreamWorks.

Bonnie Arnold won the 1996 Annie Award for producing Toy Story . At the Academy Awards 2015 she received a nomination for the best animated film as producer of the film How To Train Your Dragon 2 .
