Bonnie Francesca Wright (born February 17, 1991 in London , England ) is a British film actress and model , best known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films.

life and career

Her parents are Sheila Teague and Gary Wright. She has an older brother named Lewis.

After she had little more than an extra role in the film adaptation of the first Harry Potter volume, her character in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was expanded accordingly in the book, but was again reduced to an extra role in the next film. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire it was again strongly present. Wright continued her role in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix . In preparation for the fight scenes in this film, Wright completed stunt training. In the sixth book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince , Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley became a couple, which was also implemented in the film of the same name. This made her role one of the most important again. Wright started shooting The Philosophers in July 2011 - Who Survived? with Harry Potter co-star Freddie Stroma, among others . The film was released in 2013.

In the German language version of the Harry Potter films she is dubbed by Sabrina Tafelmeier (only Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone ) and Marcia von Rebay .

Personal

After filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows , Wright began studying film and television production at the London College of Communication , graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts .

From 2009 Bonnie Francesca Wright was in a relationship with fellow actor Jamie Campbell Bower and engaged to him from April 2011. At the end of June 2012, the couple separated.

She is socially committed as an ambassador in the Global Poverty Project. She is also committed to the recycling of plastic waste. So she started her own swimwear line in cooperation with Fair Harbor , a swimwear shop that specializes in sustainable clothing. This is made from recycled plastic bottles .
