Boozoo Bajou

Boozoo Bajou is a German DJ and producer duo, consisting of the Nuremberg musicians Peter Heider and Florian Seyberth. Their music can be placed between downbeat / lounge , dub , blues , jazz , soul and funk music. King Tubby and Lee Perry are named as musical role models .


Boozoo Bajou celebrated their greatest success so far with their debut album Satta, which was released in 2001. Originally, the duo speculated on the sale of 2000 copies ; instead, around 70,000 records have been sold to date. Many tracks of the first album, we repeatedly in radio and television on: So the three-part was science - documentation expedition into the brain musical largely by Boozoo Bajou- framed -Titeln. In addition, the song Night Over Manaus from the debut album was used in a Martini TV commercial with George Clooney in 2006 .

After this success, Boozoo Bajou kept receiving remix requests. Remixes were created for rapper Common , Mary J. Blige , Mousse T. , Henry Mancini , Nelly Furtado and also for Richard Dorfmeister's project Tosca .

Together with other bands, Boozoo Bajou won the European Tour Support (ETS) of the European Union in 2005 . With the help of the ETS , Brussels supports promising young European musicians on their tours (e.g. financially) . The two band members are also active as DJs in clubs around the world .
