The Borne is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Occitania regions. It rises in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park , north of the Col de la Croix de Bauzon , in the municipal area of Mayres , drains in the upper reaches to the southwest, then swings to southeast to south and flows after 36 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Pied-de-Borne and Sainte-Marguerite-Lafigère as a left tributary into the Chassezac . The Borne crosses the Ardèche department on its way and forms the border to the neighboring Lozère department for about the last 10 kilometers .
