The solitude of Bornmühle is located in the middle Upper Palatinate Forest , around 1 km southwest of the village of Bernhof on the municipality border with Gleiritsch at an altitude of 440 meters. history

In 1714 Thomas Freiherr von Quentel bought the Trausnitz estate. A list of the subjects belonging to the country estate reports one family in Ödmühle , five families in Atzenhof , eight in Söllitz , two in Köttlitz , five in Fuchsendorf, one in Bornmühle, one in Reisach and two in Deiselkühn. According to the parish register from 1782, the Bornmühle belonged to the Hohentreswitz (St. Bartholomäus) branch church , which in turn was attached to the Nabburg parish. 1789, the parish Trausnitz received the large and small tithe , a traditional control in the form of money or in kind .

Tax District and Parish Education

The Kingdom of Bavaria was divided into 15 districts in 1808. These districts were named after rivers based on the French model ( Naabkreis , Regenkreis , Unterdonaukreis , etc.). The districts were divided into district courts. The districts in turn should be divided into individual municipality areas. In 1811 the district court of Nabburg was divided into 58 tax districts. One of them was Fuchsendorf, "consisting of the villages Fuchsendorf, Atzenhof, the lower Bühlhof (= Bierlhof), the hamlet Schweizerbach, the solitude of Bornmühle." After the communities were founded according to the community edict of 1818, Bornmühle was initially assigned to the community of Söllitz. The following localities, hamlets and wastelands belonged to the municipality of Söllitz: Bornmühle, Fuchsendorf, Köttlitz and Söllitz. "The reclassification of the localities Bornmühle and Fuchsendorf to the municipality of Hohentreswitz took place in 1946." On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Hohentreswitz with the wasteland of Bornmühle was incorporated into the town of Pfreimd. The districts of Häuslberg and Trefnitz moved to the Guteneck community. Grubhof, Tauchersdorf and Wiesensüß were incorporated into the municipal area of the city of Nabburg.
