Boulevard Bou (born October 3, 1972 in Heidelberg , bourgeois Bülent Teztiker ) is a DJ, rap producer and mix engineer. He became known as a partner of the rapper Torch .

Producer and Mix Engineer

With Torch , Boulevard Bou operates the Piemont Studios as “chief engineer”, which they inaugurated in 1995. Since then, the studio has been used by international and national artists. He also mixed and produced, for example, Grandmaster Melle Mel , Kid Frost , Al Tariq (formerly Beatnuts ) and Asher D. & Daddy Freddy as well as Die Firma , DJ Stylewarz , D-Flame , DJ Wiz ( RAG ), DJ Tomekk , Curse and Albino .

Interpreter

In addition to his collaboration with Torch as an interpreter, Boulevard Bou later also worked permanently with the Braunschweig MC René , with whom he performed "100% improvisation" throughout Germany.

Teztiker, who raps in German and Turkish, could be heard as an interpreter on various over the counter compilations and, with Geh zur Polizei, also released a maxi CD that went on sale in general. His rap work, also published under Boulevard Bou, achieved considerable success for an artist with a migration background in Germany as early as the 1990s. In 1999 Teztiker released a Turkish mixtape (Türkçe Hip Hop Mixtape), upon which Karakan , Islamic Force , DJ Mahmut & Murat G. , 2. Nesil, Asiatic Warriors , DJ Ace, Rapor 2, Crack, XL, Bes Pence, Volkan, Erci E. . , Aziza-A u. a. were represented.

Teztiker sees himself as influenced by music films such as Wildstyle and hip-hop that the US soldiers stationed in his hometown of Heidelberg heard. From 1990 he came into contact with well-known German hip-hoppers through the Heidelberg rap scene, whom he joined. This was followed by first personal experience as a rapper and rap writer.

DJ

In addition to renowned German clubs, DJ Boulevard Bou's work can also be heard on the private broadcaster BigFM as part of specials on the Groovenight program . From 1999 to 2017, he played night shifts every Thursday in the Musikfabrik in Heidelberg. After the club has closed, it will be playing in Halle02 from 2018 .
