Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen is a protected area in the vicinity of the Belgian city of Ghent . Most of it lies in the area of the sub-municipality Mariakerke and covers 230 hectares. Most of it consists of wet, often flooded pastures with ditches and canals and is an important wintering area for water birds. At the same time, it serves as a buffer zone between the city and the R4 ring road . Noise barriers were built to reduce noise pollution for wild animals.

There are three main hiking trails through the reserve and in the center is the Valkenhuis (falconry), a historic building that was used by the falconers of the Counts of Flanders . In 2006 a visitor center was built at the entrance to the reserve.
