Boztepe is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Kırşehir . The place is about 15 kilometers north of the provincial capital Kırşehir . The place was raised to Belediye (municipality) in 1960 .
The district is in the east of the province. It borders Mucur County in the south and southeast , the Central County in the west , Çiçekdağı County in the north and Nevşehir Province in the east . In the northwest, the D785 , which leads from Kırşehir in the south to Çiçekdağı and to the E 88 in the northeast, follows the district boundary. The city of Boztepe is connected to the provincial capital by a country road.
The district was formed in 1990 from a few villages in the eastern part of the central district ( Bucak Merkez ). In addition to the district town (2018: 49.3 & the district population), the district consists of 14 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 202 residents. The scale of the population ranges from 393 ( Yenidoğanlı ) down to 62 ( Hüseyinli ). Five villages have more than 202 inhabitants. With a population density of 7.5 inhabitants, the district is at the bottom of the ranking.
