The Jutland town of Brønderslev [ ˈbʀœnʔəʀsleu̯ ] is located about halfway between Aalborg in the south and Hjørring in the north in Vendsyssel . Brønderslev is connected to these cities by both a railway line and a motorway, the European route 39 . The oldest building in town is Vester Brønderslev Kirke, built in 1150. The municipality of the same name with 36,304 inhabitants is 317.0 km² in size (as of January 1, 2020).
