The Brandangersundbrua is a road bridge in the Norwegian municipality of Gulen in the province ( Fylke ) Vestland (formerly Sogn og Fjordane ).
The bridge, about 60 km north of Bergen as the crow flies , leads the provincial road Fv 5582 (formerly Fv4) from the mainland over Brandangersund to Sandøyna Island. From there the Fv5582 continues over the Mjåsundbrua to the island of Mjømna and on over the Nappsundbrua and the Mjømnesundbrua to the island of Byrknesøyna.
The Brandangersundbrua is the largest network arch bridge in Norway.

The 285 m long and 7.6 m wide Brandangersundbrua has 220 m wide steel network arches made of 70 cm thick steel pipes, which are stiffened by a zigzag-shaped wind bracing made of smaller steel pipes. The diagonally arranged, mostly twice crossing hangers consist of 42 mm thick wire ropes . The height of the arrow above the slightly upward curved roadway is 30.7 m. The roadway girder is a thin prestressed concrete slab reinforced at the edges . The roadway is 5.0 m wide.
The bridge clearance is 18 m.
The bridge was designed by Aas-Jakobsen and built by Skanska as general contractor in 2009 and 2010.
The steel structure was manufactured by HSM Steel Structures from the Netherlands on land in Sløvåg, about 7 km south of the construction site, and the Smit Heavy Lift floated in to the construction site using two floating cranes . The large eyes , welded to the construction , with which the bridge was lashed to the lifting gear of the floating cranes , are still there.
