Brandon Burlon (born March 5, 1990 in Nobleton , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract in the GET league with the Stavanger Oilers since July 2018 .

Career

Brandon Burlon first played for the Vaughan Kings AAA in the lower class Canadian junior league Greater Toronto Hockey League . Subsequently, the defender went from 2006 to 2008 for the St. Michael's Buzzers in the Ontario Junior Hockey League on the ice.

In 2008 Burlon moved to the United States to play with the University of Michigan Wolverines in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). In his first season with the Wolverines , he was honored by being selected for the 2008-09 CCHA All-Rookie Team.

On June 2, 2011 Burlon signed an entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils . After five seasons with the Albany Devils in the American Hockey League (AHL) within the Devils organization, Burlon left the 2015/16 season as a free agent .

On August 3, 2016, Burlon decided on a one-year contract with the Tucson Roadrunners - a new AHL subsidiary of the Arizona Coyotes - and initially continued his AHL career. With the signing, Burlon became the first addition to the club's inaugural season in 2016-17. In his season with the Roadrunners, Burlon came to just 33 games due to injuries, scoring three goals and eleven points.

Burlon started his European career as a free agent in 2017 and signed a one-year contract with the Düsseldorfer EG in the German Ice Hockey League on May 2, 2017 .
