Brandon Coleman (* 22. June 1992 in Accokeek , Maryland ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the New Orleans Saints as a wide receiver .

college

Coleman attended Rutgers University and played for their team, the Scarlet Knights, successfully college football , running between 2011 and 2013, 1808 yards and 20 touchdowns .

NFL

Coleman was not included in the 2014 NFL Draft , but was then signed as a free agent by the New Orleans Saints . Although he did not make it into the main squad, he was accepted into the practice squad . He was activated towards the end of the season, but remained without active use.

After Kenny Stills ' move to the Miami Dolphins, he was called up in 2015 as the fourth receiver after Marques Colston , Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead IV . Although he scored his first touchdown in the first game. and he came up in all games, four times even as a starter , he received comparatively little playing time. The 2016 season was similar for him, with only 26 pass catches and 281 yards run. Also only a supplementary player in 2017, but after Cooks' move to the New England Patriots and a suspension of Snead he was initially able to put himself in the limelight, but ultimately only made 23 pass catches.
At the beginning of August 2018, Coleman, who was unable to take part in most of the off-season training due to injury , was fired by the Saints.
On September 2, he announced his retirement from active sport via Instagram.
