Breazova (German: Brassova , Hungarian: Béganyiresd ) is a village in Timiș County , in the Banat region , in southwestern Romania . The village of Breazova belongs to the municipality of Margina .

Geographical location

Breazova is located in the east of Timiș County, 10 km from Făget . The only traffic connection is a municipal road that connects the village with the municipality of Margina.

The first written mention comes from the year 1379. Over the centuries different spellings of the place name appeared: 1596 Brazova , 1778 Brassova , 1808 Brázová , 1888 Brázova , 1913 Béganyíesd , 1851 Brazova , 1909 Breazova , 1919 Brázova .

In the records of the historian Marsigli from 1690, the place appears under the name Brasiova , on the Habsburg census of 1717 Brescova is registered and on the Josephine land survey of 1769–1772 Brassova . The Hungarians call the place Béganyíesd .
