The Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway (BWLR) is a nearly 0.8 km long narrow-gauge railway near Bredgar and Wormshill in Kent , just south of Sittingbourne , England with a 610 mm (2 foot) gauge . It is run on a voluntary basis as a museum railway.

history

The BWLR is a private railway that was built voluntarily by a group of railway enthusiasts since the early 1970s. It is a fully functional, high quality railroad with Warren Wood station , a locomotive shed, a depot and the smaller Stony Shaw station at the other end of the line.

The railroad operates every first Sunday in summer to collect donations for various foundations. There is also a model railway, a Locomobile a showman , a steam machine, two steam rollers and several Bean Cars to see and other historic automobiles.
