The Bremen Switzerland is a hilly geest landscape in the north of Bremen and in the adjacent district of Osterholz and represents the western part of the Osterholzer Geest . Compared to the rather flat Bremen city area and the Bremen surrounding area consisting of marshland and moorland , Bremen Switzerland reaches heights of over 30  m ü. NHN .

The area of Bremer Schweiz is framed by the Weser tributary Lesum in the south, the Weser in the west, the marsh region Osterstade in the northwest, the forest area Düngel in the north ( Garlstedt - Meyenburg line ), the former federal road 6 to Bremerhaven (now L135) in the east and the Langen Heide adjoining there .

Bremen Switzerland is divided into landscape protection areas , meadows, forests, heathland and lowlands such as the Ihletal and the valleys of the Schönebecker Aue , the Blumenthaler Aue and the Beckedorfer Beeke . This also includes the Bockhorn clay and loam mountain with an inland dune and the golf courses "Bremer Schweiz" and Garlstedt. There the landscape offers space for leisure activities such as hiking, cycling, jogging or horse riding.
