Brenda Hampton (born August 19, 1951 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American screenwriter and film producer .
biography
Brenda Hampton, who wrote the television series Blossom and Crazy About You in the early 1990s , started A Heavenly Family in 1996 . She wrote the screenplay for over 80 episodes and was also executive producer on the series. For her work on Crazy About You , Hampton received an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Series in 1996. In 2005 she co-wrote and co-wrote the Fat Actress series for Showtime with Kirstie Alley . From 2008 to 2013, Hampton produced the American ABC Family seriesThe Secret Life of the American Teenager , which is about a 15-year-old girl who accidentally becomes pregnant. For the series were, among others, John Schneider , Molly Ringwald , Allen Evangelista , Ernie Hudson , Shailene Woodley and Camille Winbush , with only Schneider, Ringwald, Hudson and Woodley were included in the cast of the show cast.
