Brian Eric Bonsall (born December 3, 1981 in Torrance , California , USA ) is an American film actor and singer .
life and career
Brian Bonsall is the son of Garth Bonsall and Kathleen Larkin, and brother of Jennifer Bonsall.
He has been an actor since he was six. He made his debut in 1987 in the comedy series Familienbande , in which he played the character of "Andrew Keaton" alongside Michael J. Fox .
Since then, Bonsall has been a popular child star . In 1993 he played "Eddie Charles" alongside Patrick Swayze in the comedy father with small mistakes and in 1994 "Preston Waters" in Mac Millionaire - Too Smart for a Blank Check .
His best known role in a television series was that of "Alexander Rozhenko" in the science fiction series Spaceship Enterprise: The Next Century .
Other well-known TV series that Bonsall guest stars include Booker and Parker Lewis - The Cool One at School .
In 1998, the 17-year-old and friends founded the band Late Bloomers and planned to continue making music in the future. Today Bonsall lives in Boulder ( Colorado ) and is a member of the music band Thruster . He no longer plans to work as an actor.
Bonsall also spent a year at the Missouri State Military Academy .
Problems with the law
Brian Bonsall repeatedly came into conflict with the law. In 2001 he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and his driver's license was confiscated. The incident was repeated in 2004, but the ex-actor did not have a valid driver's license with him. In April 2007, Bonsall caused a stir when he was arrested after threatening and even assaulting his girlfriend.
In June 2008, Bonsall was charged with parole violations and failing to appear for Alcotests . He should have appeared for a court hearing on July 16, 2008, but did not appear. An arrest warrant has been issued for him and $ 2,500 bail has been placed on him.
After over a year of being on the run, Bonsall was arrested on December 5, 2009 in Boulder for seriously injuring one of his friends with the wooden leg of a bar stool in a bar. Brian Bonsall has bipolar disorder , police said; he is also addicted to drugs and alcohol. He was released before the trial opened, but arrested again on February 19, 2010 for possession of marijuana . On April 9, 2010, Bonsall was sentenced by a court in Boulder to a two-year suspended sentence for menacing .
