Brian Butler (born November 7, 1991 ) is a German basketball player . He is in the line-up of SG Lützel-Post Koblenz . He is the brother of soccer player Justin Butler .

career

As a child, Butler first played football at FC Hochzoll in his hometown of Augsburg . He later switched to basketball, played in the youth department of the BG Leitershofen / Stadtbergen and in the youth basketball league  for FC Bayern Munich .

From 2010 to 2013 Butler, who is characterized by high jumping ability, played for BG Illertal / Weissenhorn in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In 2013 he moved to the Ehingen / Urspring syndicate in the 2. Bundesliga ProA before he was signed by Scanplus Baskets Elchingen in 2015 . In the 2017/18 season, Butler won the championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB with the Elchers, on the way to this success he made 32 season appearances and recorded an average of 11.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per encounter.

In summer 2019, he accepted an offer from second division VfL Kirchheim Knights , and in summer 2020 Butler joined third division promoted SG Lützel-Post Koblenz .
