Brian Roberts (born December 3, 1985 in Toledo , Ohio ) is an American basketball player .

Careers in Europe

Roberts was not signed in the 2008 NBA draft and therefore began his career in Europe. After a season in Israel with Hapoel Gilboa Galil , he moved to Germany in the basketball league with Brose Baskets Bamberg . After two double wins with the Brose Baskets, the contract for the 2011/12 BBL season was only extended after a protracted injury to John Goldsberry . Roberts was previously before signing a contract with the French champions ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne in the LNB Pro A . Roberts spent the summer break in 2012 in the USA and played for the New Orleans Hornets in the NBA Summer League , which then signed him.

NBA

He played for New Orleans for 2 years before joining the Charlotte Hornets in the summer of 2014 . During the 2015/16 season he was sent to Miami Heat , but before he was deployed there he was transferred directly to the Portland Trail Blazers , where he spent the rest of the season. In the summer of 2016, he finally switched back to the Charlotte Hornets.

Back in Europe

In the summer of 2017 , Roberts signed with Olympiacos Piraeus .
