Brigitte Lahaie , actually Brigitte Lucille Jeanine Van Meerhaeghe , (born October 12, 1955 in Tourcoing ) is a French actress , porn actress and writer . She also performed under the names Brigitte Lahaye, Corinne Lahaye, Brigitte Simonin, Brigitte Bordeaux and Brigitte Van Meerhague.

Life

Brigitte Lahaie was born in Tourcoing and grew up in Metz and Lyon before moving to Paris at the age of 18 . From 1976 to 1980 she worked in about 30 porn films and became the first and to this day most famous porn star in France. She is known, among other things, for her role in the film A Summer in the Country from 1980. From 1980 she then turned to mainstream films and starred in numerous horror and scary films. She has written several books, the best known being her autobiography Moi, la scandaleuse from 1987. She had roles in Henry & June (1990) and I for Icarus (1979). She is now moderating a program on the radio station RMC ( Radio Monte Carlo ) called Lahaie, L'amour et vous . Brigitte Lahaie lives in seclusion with her horses and dogs on a country estate in the Yvelines department , about 60 km west of Paris .

In 2014 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the X-Rated Critics Organization as a film pioneer .
