Brockwitz is a district of Lampertswalde in the district of Meißen in Saxony .

geography

Brockwitz is located between Grossenhain and Ortrand west of the main town of Lampertswalde. South of Brockwitz lies Quersa , in the west Adelsdorf , in the north the forest area Raschütz and the village Weißig am Raschütz . The area is in the Grossenhainer care .

history

The street village Brockwitz was first mentioned in a document in 1219. Farmers are said to have made and served beer in the village.

On January 1, 1973, the community merged with Quersa to form the new community Quersa-Brockwitz. On July 1, 1996, this community and with it the district Brockwitz was incorporated into Lampertswalde.
