The Brother Klaus Chapel in Euerfeld , a district of Dettelbach in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen , is a small church that is dedicated to the mystic Nikolaus von Flüe . The chapel is located about 500 m north of the village and belongs to the Kitzingen deanery .

history

The chapel was built in the 1980s and was initiated by the Catholic rural youth movement in Germany , to whose patron Nikolaus von Flüe it was to be consecrated. The planning was done by the architect Manfred Bayer and on September 25, 1988 the foundation stone for the chapel in the so-called Binziggrund on the outskirts of Euerfeld was laid. The church was inaugurated on September 24, 1989 by the Würzburg bishop Paul-Werner Scheele .

Architecture, equipment and surroundings

The chapel is an octagonal, non- easted building with a tapered porch. In the roof turret is a small bell from 1840 with a wooden cross in front of it. On the site in Binziggrund there is also a fountain by Theo Steinbrenner in the form of a meditation wheel, as used by Nikolaus von Flüe.
