Bruno Amaducci

Bruno Amaducci (* 5. January 1925 in Lugano , † 26 January 2019 ) was a Swiss orchestra - conductor and musicians .

biography

He was a conductor at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, at the Vienna State Opera , at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Opéra National de Paris .

Amaducci had worked for the radio in Italian-speaking Switzerland since 1941. From 1980 he designed the station's musical programs. In 1982 he was appointed Artistic Director of the Primavera Concertistica in Lugano. Two years later he took over this position at the Locarno Concerts .

Amaducci founded the Associazione Ricerche Musicali nella Svizzera Italiana in 1969 .

Bruno Amaducci died on January 26th, 2019. His artistic legacy with over 300 directory items is preserved by the Swiss National Sound Archives in Lugano.
