Bruno Müller (theologian)

Friedrich Ernst Bruno Müller (born March 26, 1859 in Seyda ; † March 28, 1921 in Merseburg ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

The son of Seyda Diaconus Ferdinand Müller attended high school in Zeitz and studied Protestant theology at the University of Halle from 1883 to 1886 . In 1888 he was ordained a Protestant pastor in Magdeburg , was pastor in Baumersroda until 1902 , then in Erfurt-Schmira until 1911 and finally in Großosterhausen .

On March 28, 1921, Müller was taken hostage from the church in Großosterhausen by the supporters of Max Hoelz during the March Fights in Central Germany . In the battle near Schraplau he was shot in the stomach, of which he died on the same day in Merseburg.

Bruno Müller was married twice and had six children.
