Bryan Lundquist (born May 30, 1985 in Jacksonville ) is an American freestyle swimmer from Marietta , Georgia .

Career

Lundquist has been training at Stingrays Swimming in Marietta, Georgia since he was eight . His trainers are Richard Quick , David Marsh and Ian Goss . He first came into the focus of international swimming at the 2008 Short Course World Championships in Manchester , when he won the world title in the 4 × 100 m freestyle together with Ryan Lochte , Nathan Adrian and Doug Van Wie in a world record time.

At the US Olympic Games in 2008 , Lundquist finished seventh with a personal best, the 50 m freestyle distance and thus missed the qualification for the Summer Olympics in Beijing .
