history

Buchenhof

The property was first mentioned in a document around 1300. The residents mean 1334 and even 1432. This residence developed from landlord free float in this area. Some developed into larger estates, others remained farms or fell desolate. These farms were also subject to the areas of tension in this region, even up to the modern era. The domain formed at that time did not fall under the land reform in 1945 , but became public property that had to deal with breeding. 1951–1953 an apprentice dormitory with an agricultural vocational school was built. Today the buildings are empty and are also falling into disrepair. In 1970 the breeding business was discontinued as a result of the restructuring of large-scale production and the administration switched to fruit growing . To turn time and this orchard was settled.

In 1998 the Kalnbach family acquired the Buchenhof, began with the renovation and built up a horse breeding with training and horse boarding. The Buchenhof got a future again.
