Bundestag constituency Hamburg I
The Bundestag constituency Hamburg I was a constituency in Hamburg for the elections to the German Bundestag . It comprised the districts of Altstadt , Neustadt and Sankt Pauli belonging to the district of Hamburg-Mitte , the district of Altona-Altstadt and the district of Altona-Nord / Süd from the district of Hamburg-Altona and the districts of Rotherbaum and Harvestehude from the district of Hamburg-Eimsbüttel .

The constituency of Hamburg I was number 3 of the Hamburg constituencies in the 1949 Bundestag election and then had the nationwide constituency number 15. The area of the constituency remained unchanged for the 1949-1961 Bundestag elections. Before the federal election in 1965, the constituency was dissolved and the area was divided among the newly formed constituencies of Altona , Eimsbüttel and Hamburg-Mitte .
