history

In the Bundestag elections from 1980 to 1998, the constituency of Hamburg-Nord was number 15. In the Bundestag elections from 2002 to 2009, it was electoral district number 22, and since 2013 it has been number 21.

The constituency was newly formed for the 1980 federal election and essentially emerged from the former constituency of Hamburg-Nord I and the northern part of the constituency of Hamburg-Wandsbek (Alstertal and Walddörfer districts without the Volksdorf district ). The constituency area has remained unchanged since 1980. The Barmbek-Uhlenhorst local authority area belonging to the Hamburg-Nord district has been part of the Hamburg-Mitte electoral district since 1980 , and has formed the core of the Hamburg-Nord II electoral district since 1972 .
