Bundeswehr administrative offices abroad

The Bundeswehr administrative offices abroad (BwVSt) are local authorities that are subordinate to the Federal Office for Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Services of the Bundeswehr . Therefore they belong to the portfolio of the Ministry of Defense and are for immediate assistance and care stationed in friendly foreign services armed forces of the Bundeswehr and the associated military / civilian employees responsible.

tasks

The Bundeswehr administrative offices abroad have a special range of tasks: tasks of supplying food and clothing and of decentralized procurement; in addition, tasks relating to accommodation and real estate as well as travel expenses and separation allowances. They are also responsible for customs matters relating to the armed forces abroad and provide housing for soldiers who have been transferred abroad. They also provide translation and interpreting services for the armed forces. The tasks thus roughly correspond to those of a Bundeswehr service center in Germany, supplemented by foreign-specific components (such as language service).
