The Bur ( Russian Бур ; Yakut Буур , Buur ; Russian also Пур , Pur ) is a 501 km long left tributary of the Olenjok in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in Russia .

The Bur rises about 350 km as the crow flies northeast of the village of Olenjok in the hilly eastern central part of the North Siberian lowlands and flows through its forest tundra and tundra landscape initially briefly in a northerly direction, then alternately in a north-easterly and easterly direction. It meanders strongly on most sections. It finally flows into the Olenjok about 180 km west of Tiksi .

The catchment area of the river covers 13,900 km². The most important tributaries are Dalbar (length 107 km), Ary-Ongorbut (191 km), Kyra-Chos-Tjorjuttjach (137 km) and Nojuo (105 km) from the left and the Kjuntjukeljach (93 km) from the right . The Bur freezes over from the beginning of October to May.

The Bur flows through a lake-rich, mostly swampy and extremely sparsely populated area without any infrastructure north of the Arctic Circle . It belongs to the territory of Ulusse Olenjok and Bulun . There are no towns on the river.
