Burak Dilmen (born August 22, 1963 in Bursa ) is a former Turkish football player and today's coach.
Athletic career
In the club
Burak Dilmen started in the youth team of FC Bayern Munich . In January 1983 Dilmen moved to Samsunspor in Turkey . In the 1984/85 season Dilmen was one of Jupp Derwall's eight transfers at Galatasaray Istanbul .
The midfielder played for Galatasaray for a year and won the Turkish Cup. In September 1985, Dilmen went to Denizlispor . After Dilmen ended the 1985/86 season at Denizlispor, he continued at Altay İzmir . With Altay rose after the season 1988/89 in the 2nd division . In the second half of the 1990/91 season he was loaned to İzmirspor . His contract with Altay was not renewed at the end of the season.
Burak Dilmen was the 1991/92 season without a club. In the summer of 1992 he signed a one-year contract with Eyüpspor and ended his career with İstanbulspor after the 1993/94 season .
In the national team
Burak Dilmen played for the Turkish U-21 national team from 1984 to 1985.
Coaching career
Burak Dilmen has been working as an assistant coach since the 1999/2000 season. Due to his existing knowledge of German, he mainly assists German-speaking head coaches. From 1999 to 2003 Dilmen was assistant coach under Rüdiger Abramczik at Antalyaspor and FC Kärnten . In October 2004 he was hired by Galatasaray as a youth coordinator.
With the engagement of Karl-Heinz Feldkamp at Galatasaray, Dilmen was again assistant coach. At Galatasaray, Dilmen supported Feldkamp, Michael Skibbe and Bülent Korkmaz . In 2010 he was the assistant coach of Ahmet Akcan at Orduspor . In 2011 Dilmen was again Michael Skibbe's assistant coach at Eskişehirspor from August to December . After Skibbe was sacked, Dilmen became Vladimir Petković's assistant coach at Samsunspor .
His last engagement so far was at Eskişehirspor from January 2015 to June 2016. There he was assistant coach to Michael Skibbe, Samet Aybaba and İsmail Kartal .
