Burchard Christian von Spilcker

Burchard Christian von Spilcker (also: Burchard Wilhelm von Spilcker ; born November 11, 1770 in Stade (Hamm); died June 20, 1838 Arolsen ) was a German topographer , historian , author and councilor .

Life

Burchard Christian von Spilcker since 1796 court and chancellery advisor at the justice chancellery in Hanover. In the so-called " French era " he worked from 180 as a Privy Councilor and President of the Chamber in Arolsen and President of the Government and Consistory in the Principality of Waldeck . From 1824 until his death he was director of the Waldeck-Pyrmont government. He was the correspondent of the Royal Society of Sciences in Göttingen and a member of the Natural History and Economic Society in Hanover and the Association for Patriotic History in Paderborn. in the Principality of Waldeck .

Von Spilcker was a knight of the Royal Prussian Order of St. John and the Royal Hanoverian Guelph Order .
