Bicken Castle

The castle Bicken is an Outbound castle in the village by the stream, near the Church of Bicken , in the municipality of Mittenaar in Lahn-Dill-Kreis in Hesse . Nothing has survived from the former, presumably small, castle.

history

The castle was mentioned in 1218 and 1232 in the possession of Friedrich von Bicken and was the ancestral seat of its builders, the Lords of Bicken .

Presumably, the Lords of Bicken were expelled from their ancestral home during the Dernbach feud from 1230 to 1333. The castle was destroyed by 1352 at the latest.
